Reunited...

And it feels so good :)



So we've met up with the Lieu's a handful of times already bc we were all staying at the same place. Yay. And we've tentatively planned to have dinner again. So much to talk about. We're so happy for them... they're both glowing! Congratulations again to the Mike and the J. Oooh, we should throw her an e-Baby shower :) Hollah.

And sorry for the blurry picture... it didn't auto focus, but it makes me love it better. Happy Monday my Girlahs!

14 weeks and 1 day

So my dear Heidi asked, and you all shall receive.

I hit the 14th week mark yesterday (8.9.08) and it is still kinda weird to see my body change the way it is. Sometimes, it even grosses me out. To think I "used" to have a somewhat flat tummy, which has now turned into a pot belly. I told mR this, but if I look straight down at my toes, I can't see my crotch anymore. lovely huh? But if it means I get to grow a new person inside of me, then I'm willing to sacrifice.

my next appointment is in just over a week, and it might be the one where I can find out the sex of the baby. But Mike and I have both chosen to wait and be surprised, so we'll have to look away when the ultrasound gets to the nether region.

so here's the gnarly picture of the pot-belly-in-process, hopefully you wouldn't have just eaten dinner or anything.

But I made it at last. So my first challenge from Heidi. Two pics of the kiddos, Anna Stuffs and one word title. As per usual the scan is horrific, but here's my take.

Serious JV Cheer flashback with that title but I digress. Here's my page from Deanna's challenge... starring Me and Mister, A paper clip (haphazardly added?) "Our Song" and polka dots. We have so many songs, I just picked one that matched the paper. Does that make any sense? It's a Harry Connick Jr. song from Sleepless in Seattle. I think this needs something though... feels kinda naked. Plus it's going to be my submission for JLMS this month, too. Hmmm..

Okay and I am caught up on the Hills. Here's my take. Hahahaha that LC got all dressed up and Stephen shows up in a hoodie and jeans and says the word PLATONIC. Just like that, platonic, like if he could speak in caps, he would. Plus isn't he kind of dumb as a bag of hammers?

I want Audrina and JustinBobby to stir up trouble and make the whole backyard smell like patchouli and sandalwood and their B.O. and continue to make things awkward because Lo and LC are mean. (and p.s. Lo has totally ruined the show.) I'm with Deebs, bring back Kelly Cutrone. And how funny that you clarified me as "our Heidi" not THAT Heidi. Hahaha.

I've been served

so my attempt to get a challenge done at work failed. I got about halfway through and then work just had to be done. so I finished up this morning and although its not exactly what I imagined, it is what it is.

I used pictures from our time at Disneyland back in November 2007. the kids were asleep at the hotel and the older Ramirez's came back out to play. AstroBlasters was the ride of the night. first we went on as pairs, and then each to our own car. very very fun!

AC: paper and thickers. 2 pictures, yup. non-scrap stuff: Dymo tape. hand journaling, done. I wish the title was a bit lower, but the adhesive had dried up and I had to use tombow. too lazy to remove because then that would require me to get off the sticky residue and restick. and this morning, I'm not quite in the redoing mode.

i wonder what mR is going to do....

Everyone Went To Bed...

That's wha happens when you live in HI :) I took the longest, lol, but had some work things to tend to. Then I had to take a break to watch the Hills. But, I came with this. And I have other plans for that loot I won, so instead, I used those wittle rub on birds. Yay. Oh, and 10 buttons is, I think, the most I've ever had on one layout. A new record!

Oh yeah, and that dark shadow is my hand over the layout, lol. And maybe another day I'll snap a new pic to post, but for now... this'll do...

so here is my response to Heidi's challenge. I had to:
(1) use orange
(2) include something ledger lined or striped
(3) use something from my stash at least 3 months old
(4) use at least one rubon

and I did just that. orange 7gypsies paper, ledger paper from mR, a red Heidi Swapp heart I've had for at least 2 years and not one, but4 different rubons, most of which is at least 3 months old as well.

and since it looks as though we are all a go on the ATC swap (except for mG, haven't heard from her yet), I've decided that we should maybe do 2 ATCs instead of just one. the first card will be one of ourselves, sort of like our own baseball cards. so yes, there must be a picture of yourself somewhere on the card. the second one...hmm, how about one wish you would wish for if you were given a wish. does that make sense?? so get a'working on them and send them to me by, let's say the end of May. any questions? let me know!!
